Ake Ake Equestrian is situated on a picturesque 60 acre block at Matarau, approximately 10 minutes from Kamo village.

During the school holiday's Ake Ake Equestrian takes the opportunity to run school holiday programme.  

Activities include:

  • Name Game / Intro / Rules and Safety
  • Meet the Ake Ake Ponies
  • Tour of Ake Ake Facilities 
  • Pony Care and Grooming
  • Learning To Tack-Up Ponies
  • Riding Lessons
  • Fun Pony Theory Workbooks
  • Pony Games / Riding
  • Farmyard Fun - Calf feeding and Walking
  • Pony Art - Pony Painting Time


Drop off from 8.30am for a 9.00am start.
3pm finish (None pony related childcare is available from 3pm to 5.30pm for an additional hourly rate please request on booking if this required)

Cost per child $70.00 per day - includes morning and afternoon tea.
Cost reduced to $65 per day for multiple days or multiple children.


Each day is full of fun activities including plenty of hands on pony time. Spaces are limited so please feel free to contact us to book your child's spot in advance.
